Service Organization Controls 2 (SOC 2) is a framework that is governed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and serves as the gold standard for data security and privacy in North America. This globally recognized, and annually recurring, data security standard verification is granted after a rigorous and thorough audit on an organization’s policies, procedures and evidence by a cybersecurity consultancy firm.
NLPatent has always put security at the forefront of our operations. However, now that we have been through the audit process, we have the official “stamp of approval” that our data security and privacy practices are up to SOC 2 standards. You can continue enjoying using our platform as you always have, now with an extra assurance in mind.
Securing the SOC 2 compliance serves as a guarantee that NLPatent will continually prioritize the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of our customers’ data.
Our journey doesn’t conclude with the SOC 2 accreditation as we are actively preparing for other security tests including an external penetration test. We have always been committed to protecting data and mitigating potential security risks, and will keep this a priority while releasing new features and products.
